As most of you that have kids know, that the Kids’ Choice Awards are on Saturday March 28th. Our family is very excited to see some of our favorite actors and shows get nominated this year.
My husband and four kids love watching SpongeBob together and it has been nominated twice this year. Once as Favorite Cartoon and also as Favorite Animated Movie, SpongeBob Out of Water. If I’m in the other room and I hear the five of them giggling I can almost always guarantee that they are watching SpongeBob. They have so many inside jokes about SpongeBob that I don’t think I will ever understand. I’m so glad though that they have this show to bond over.
In the Favorite Addicting Game Category our house is divided. Two of the games nominated are Mario Kart 8 and Minecraft. Now, if you know our kids you know that Mario Kart has been a favorite game for years. It’s just in the recent few months that Minecraft has slowly become a favorite of our almost six year old. Our kids have each voted for their favorite online. Which is going to win?? We’ll find out soon!
This year the official drink sponsor of the Kids’ Choice Awards is going to be by Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters. So, I thought to myself…my family loves to drink smoothies and we also love drinking Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters so why not put them together for a fun drink to sip on while watching the awards? That’s just what we are going to do! I made us some Tropical Fruit Smoothies using a pouch of Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters. These pouches have no artificial colors or flavors and they are also low in calories (only 30 calories a pouch). I love knowing that what I am serving my family is delicious and nutritious for them.
I bought our box at on the drink aisle along with chips and snacks. You can also find several boxes at a Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards display in most Walmarts. While you are out shopping also pick up some frozen fruit of choice and vanilla flavored yogurt.
I chose to make our smoothies using only strawberries, but you could easily use bananas, mango, pineapple, or blueberries. Which ever you like!
Place all of the ingredients into your blender and blend until it reaches a smooth consistency.
- 1 Capri Sun Roarin' Waters (6oz) pouch, Tropical Punch flavor-chilled
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup ice
- Add all of the ingredients to your blender.
- Blend at high speed until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
- Garnish with fresh fruit.
To garnish your glasses add a piece of fruit to the rim. I also found these cute straws and umbrellas at Walmart. Don’t they look delicious?? You will have to make some for your family as well while watching the awards.
Have a great weekend!
