I love hearing, sharing, and telling the Christmas story. I have seen it told is many unique ways over the years. Using m&m’s to tell the story is a first for me, but when I heard this version I had to share it with you. I love how simple it is, but gets the story across. I have always been a hands on learner that needs to see, touch, and hear something before I can really grasp a concept. I always rocked at making mobiles or poster boards when I was in school. And those were always the lessons that I would remember. The ones where I read about them plus made something to help me remember. LOL! Matter of fact my mom would always think of raps, songs, or poems to help me learn my math. So that was me tapping my foot during a math test humming a song about Susie subtracting seashells at the seashore or something like that. 🙂
I’m also a learner that loves to eat my way through a lesson! 😉 I mean who doesn’t right?!?! I write about food and crafts with food evidently! What can I say??? I love to eat! 🙂 So, when a friend told me the m&m Christmas Story I new it was the one that I wanted to share! It’s hands on plus you get a tasty treat! How precious is this poem? I fell in love with it the moment I read it, and I hope that you do too. I also want for my kids to be able to share this story with some of their friends so I made a circular printable for them to attach to a gift bag of m&m’s to hand out. I also made one for you as well!! Click on the below link and download yourself a copy. I printed mine on white card stock so that it would hold up well on the bag.
